About Me
In the 4th grade, I turned my science assignment into a picture book about rescuing a lost baby penguin, complete with penguin facts and a climatic helicopter rescue scene.
Then I grew up and got a Ph.D. in electrical engineering. And I kept telling stories. Some of them include science facts, and some of them decidedly do not.
My illustrated short story, Waiting on Magic, includes a STEM magic trick and other activities. It is available as a free printable here.
My newsletter, STEM Through Story and Play, features book, activity, and video recommendations on a new STEM topic every month. Sign up for free here.
"But one glance at it and you're inside the mind of another person, maybe somebody dead for thousands of years.... A book is proof that humans are capable of working magic."
